That was either the best call or the worst call I've ever seen.
Great call !, Ivey did everything right. To anyone who thinks it was a donkey call - he's a pro, are you really stupid enough to think he can't see the 4 diamonds and two deuces on the board? He got lucky? How the hell can you get lucky AFTER all the cards are dealt? It's not as if he doesn't beat any hands - he beats any bluff, and he was correct in assuming Phil was bluffing.
Calling this call "stupidest" is really stupid, I would have also called because the ONLY hands that phil could have was a set OR the queen of diamonds (with other hands diamonds he wouldn't have risked all his chips), and with those hands phil wants to get some value river so he wouldn't have gone allin. In that point of view, the call is not that stupid...

Aussie Millions Jimmy Fricke Interview Before Final Table |

I love the way he kept talking about how he had gus all figured out and felt no fear of him because he had such a good read and then went in and got demolished
Amanda Leatherman is blonde and attractive, as any one with eyes can see. Jimmy Fricke is a very good poker player, and is overweight, two facts that he is no doubt fully aware of.
This guy played really well at the final table - he was very aggressive but could still lay down decent hands.
He blew up heads up though and made a lot of bad moves.

Phil was right, the kid exited at 201.
He is hilarious. First he says "I'm not tricky enough to play Q10 this good am I?" indicating that playing that hand would be top quality poker. Then the other guy shows Q10, and suddenly Phil acts like it's not top quality playing but donkey playing instead, just because he loses.
bloody yanks! Hellmuth needs to learn to control his temper he ain't as good as he thinks any avreage joe can win you can't always be lucky & he has said that himself The Kid out-played Helmuth.

When the fourth club comes up, devilfish said "i have to 5 of clubs, is that good?" trying to pysch out hellmuth. on the river, the 5 of clubs comes up so everyone knows devilfish was lying.
Phil is one of my favourites players, but he always looks like a retard when he starts laughing.
Annie Duke's voice is not only annoying, but her commentary on this hand was way off. Phil's hand was NOT "well dominated" by Devilfish. Unless one of them made a flush, odds were that it would end up a split pot. I think Annie just loves hearing herself talk, even if she has no clue what she is saying.

Reg Brittain tips for the best starting hands in Omaha Poker. The best hands are AAJTds, AAKKds, and so on. QQJJds is not really that great of a hand compared to hands that have one Nut flush draw and more cards to flop a wrap with lke A456ds, imho. QQJJds will get you in more trouble when you make flushes. You're almost rather flop a set and try to hold up. AAKK vs 2222 is 100,00% vs 0%

the art of bluffing....with the best hand...
Interesting hand between danish pokerplayers Mads Andersen and Philip Helm from the 2006 final table, EPT Copenhagen.
I don't call this a bluff because he got Queen high and the other one just called pre-flop so he knew that he doesn't have a better kicker. And because he called and then checked after the turn anderson knew he was waiting the flush draw. and knew he had the better hand with the Q so he went all-in. that simple
Is it a bluff ? still he had a pretty good read on his opponent probably and did not want him to draw, great bluff anyway, on the flop it was certainly a failed attempt to steal the pot right there

Annette Obrestad (born September 18, 1988) is a Norwegian poker player. Obrestad is the youngest person to ever win a World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) bracelet. Obrestad is part of the Betfair Poker Pro team. This gal is the new poker-icon taking Stu Ungars position. No use in wishing her good luck cuz she doesnt need it. We are looking forward to see her highrolling against Phil x 2, bigmouth, devilfish, Daniel, Jesus, Doyle among others. Defend ur balls guys! : ) She won the day before her 19th birthday. In order for anybody to break her record as youngest bracelet winner, they have to win in Europe, since they can't play in America at that age. Then add in the female aspect. The only person who can outdo her is an 18-year-old female, and any such pro will have one chance in her life to do it. Hellmuth's record stood for something like twenty years. She has every reason to believe hers will last a very long time.

I like his style to play. Great personality and you can even feel how intelligent his moves are.never going crazy, just a good player and very good reader. I like him and I hope he will be the wsop champ one time...jamie gold hmmm he is not realy good. I cant say i dont like him but i think he is not one of the best players of the world. he is good but not good enough to come that far...has he been on a final table again? To make a call for 2 million chips with ace high proves that Allen reads hands at an insane level. Check out his read in the 2008 wsop where he had trip Queens and folded to a full house. I would never have been able to lay that down. Crazy!
Phil Gordon: "What do you think now Phil." Phil Hellmuth: "I think Jamie should shut up." That was great.

WSOP 2004 Pot Limit Omaha final table - Ted Lawson |

Ted Lawson gets it allin on the turn thinking he has a straight. He does not, in fact, have said straight. Going from Hold'em to Omaha is kinda hard when you're new, I've seen loads of misread hands. The most common is when there are trips on the board and someone thinks he got a full house even though he doesnt have a pocket pair... This guy however wouldn't have had a straight even if he could use all 9 cards.... ROFL To all Omaha newbs: You MUST use 3 of cards on the board and 2 of your own to make your hand... You CAN'T use 4 on the board and 1 from your hand etc.. That's pretty embarrassing! Esp. when it's the FT of the $5k rebuy!

This is GREAT! I love this guy! Jack Ury is the MAN!
One of the funniest things I have seen in my life... "do you want to get it all in", "your in trouble" . That was awesome, that dude was laughing before the cards were turned over thinking he was a lock.
Jack Ury is a legend. That was tremendous.
Technically this might be considered a slow roll bc Ury is taking a litle time to show his hand after he knows he is way ahead. But it is not what you typically think when you hear "slowroll", Ury is just being funny not arrogant in any way. So I think that slowroll sounds too negative really for this case. Even friedlander has to smile :)
